A new blog, a new post, a perfect place to start - (Ps.93:1) - "The Lord is King"! Everything is finally put in it's place - and yes, even the cosmos is parochial when compared to the immensity of God - when the heart and impact of that statement rings true.

Jesus never came to argue for Kingship, nor to present it as an option. His preaching was that the Kingdom (and hence the King) was at hand, and was now manifest. Why is it that we have to prolong and torturously navigate this concept - as a friend's refrain used to be, "There's a King on the throne...come and die"!

There is a wonderful picture of submitted kingship: a picture of the King with his foot on the neck of the subject and his sword in hand - will the subject submit, and so have his head lifted by the king, or will he squirm, trying to escape, only to endure the annoyance of the sovereign.

As Christians - in church or in the marketplace - it behoves us well to be submitted to the King. It keeps our hearts and minds where they should be. "The Lord is King" should be our default mentality when we begin to wander.

Long may He reign!
